The Houston Museum of Natural Science was founded in 1909.
The museum complex consists of the main facility and the Burke Baker Planetarium, Cockrell Butterfly Center and Wortham Giant Screen Theater.
In the museum you can see dinosaurs and other exhibits from various fields of knowledge, e.g. geology, biology, geography.

Hubei Provincial Museum was founded in 1953.
The most valuable museum exhibits include artifacts from the tombs of the Marquis Yi of the Zeng state (including the Goujian sword and bronze bell set), Chu, Han, Liangzhuangwang and Yingjingwang, as well as fossils of human skulls from Yunxian Prefecture.
The collection consists of over 230,000 objects.
The total area of the museum is 50,000 square meters.

The Humboldt Forum, open to the public in 2021, is located in the Berlin Palace on the Museum Island.
The Humboldt Forum houses the non-European collections of Berlin's state museums. The Humboldt Forum consists of the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz with the Ethnologisches Museum and the Museum für Asiatische Kunst der Staatlichen Museen zu Berlin, the Stadtmuseum Berlin together with Kulturprojekte Berlin, the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin and the Stiftung Humboldt Forum im Berliner Schloss.

Hunan Museum opened to the public in 1956.
The museum covers an area of ​​about 50,000 square meters.

Magyar Nemzeti Múzeum (Hungarian National Museum) founded in 1802.

The Indian Museum founded in 1814.
Its collections include geology, botany, zoology, anthropology, archeology (including ancient Egypt) and Indian art (such as Mughal paintings).
There are over 1,000,000 exhibits in total.

Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya (IGRMS) or National Museum of Mankind, an autonomous organisation of the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, began functioning in March 1977 to present the living vulture of the diverse culture of communities across India. It has a regional Centre in Southern India at Mysore that started functioning in October 2001 from a heritage building 'Wellington House' allotted by the Government of Karnataka.
The mandate of the Museum includes the presentation of an integrated story of the bio-cultural evolution of humankind through outdoor and indoor exhibitions by highlighting the richness and diversity of cultural patterns of India and its underlying unity; to act as a Centre of research and training in museology and generate a new museum movement in India and to present and preserve a variety of cultural life.
IGRMS is also working for national integration, and promoting research & training and inter-organizational networking for salvage and revitalisation of vanishing, but valuable cultural traditions. The innovative aspects of the organization are its open-air and indoor exhibitions, built with the active involvement of traditional artisans and experts drawn from different community groups, and the education, outreach & salvage activities in different parts of the country.
Through its exhibitions, education programmes and salvage activities, IGRMS demonstrates the aesthetic qualities of India's traditional lifestyles, and the continued relevance of local traditional knowledge and mores of people to the modern society and cautions the people against unprecedented destruction of ecology and environment, local values and customs.
The programmes and activities of the organisation are carried out under three sub-schemes namely:
1. Infrastructure Development : (Development of Museum Complex),
2. Education and Outreach Programme,
3. Operation Salvage.

The Inner Mongolia Museum opened in 1957.
The museum has an extensive collection of fossils, dinosaur remains, feathered dinosaurs and a complete woolly rhinoceros skeleton. One of the exhibitions dedicated to the history and traditions of the nomadic Mongols is devoted to the life of Genghis Khan, who in the 13th century united different Mongol tribes and founded one of the largest land empires. In the museum, you can also see the golden crown in the form of an eagle from the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
The collection includes over 150,000 exhibits.
The museum covers an area of more than 50,000 square meters.

Institut Valenciá D'Art Modern (IVAM; Valencian Institute of Modern Art) opened in 1989.
The IVAM collection includes over 11,300 works (5,000 of which are photographs) by modern and contemporary artists, mainly from Valencia, Spain, Europe, Latin America and North America.
The collections are divided thematically:
- Ignacio Pinazo (1849-1916) and Julio González (1876-1942) - the beginnings of modernity,
- analytical abstraction,
- phenomenal and dada poetics,
- gestures informalism,
- reality and its chronicles,

- individual mythologies and the present 1980-2010.

The Institute for Southern Thai Studies is located in Moo 1, Baan Ao Sai, KohYor Sub-District, near the second part of Tinsulanonda Bridge. It was established in 1978 to be an art and culture learning centerfor thef southern region. Its total area is 23 rai. The buildings are in a southern architectural style. The institute is divided into 4 buildings, and each building is divided into various rooms to exhibit history, ethnicity, ancient objects from local wisdom, weapons used in the southern region such as daggers, dagger-sharped knives, RawiAyams, local weaving clothes such as "Pha or PumRiang" and "Pha Tor Pattani", various patterns of rare coconut graters, local plays such as "Nang Talung", "Norah", and "Likaypha", local games and toys such as "SudRao", kite, and top, ordain ceremony, and traditional aid. The institute provides accommodations for visitors, seminar rooms, and traditional product shops, including Krajood handicraft, Panan handicraft, Yan Lipao handicraft, KohYor weaving clothes, products from shells and coconut shells, and silverware. The institute received the best cultural tourist attraction from the Thailand Tourism Authority in 2000. From the viewpoint of the institute, you can see the beautiful scenery of Songkhla Lake. In the same year, the center received the annual government statement of expenditure to build the buildings for Thai Studies and the Southern Region Language and Cultural Center for 4,589,200 baht. The buildings were built in the area of Srinakharinwirot University, Songkhla Campus. The construction was completed in 1978. King Bhumibol, Queen Sirikit, and Princess Sirindhorn came to open the buildings on September 13, 1979. Later, the Ministry of University Affairs agreed to promote the center as "the Institute for Southern Thai Studies."

Instituto Tomie Ohtake was opened in 2001.
Instituto Tomie Ohtake organizes national and international exhibitions of fine arts, architecture and design. His interests include the art of the 20th and 21st centuries.
It does not have its own collection.
Its area is 7,500 square meters, most of this area is occupied by 7 exhibition rooms.

Iziko Museums of South Africa is a combination of the following museums:

The Jakarta History Museum (Museum Sejarah Jakarta or Museum Fatahillah or Batavia Museum) was inaugurated in 1974.

The Jewish Museum Berlin was opened in 2001.
It is the largest Jewish museum in Europe.
The museum presents the history of Jews in Germany from the Middle Ages to the present day from a Jewish point of view.

The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) opened to the public in 2018.
Ithra is Saudi Aramco's flagship corporate social responsibility initiative and the largest cultural contribution in Saudi Arabia. Ithra includes a library, knowledge tower, idea lab, cinema, theater, Great Hall, energy exhibit, museum and children's museum.
The museum part includes four galleries:

Kinkaku-ji (Gold Pavilion) is part of the Zen Buddhist complex of temples founded at least in the 14th century.
There is a Jotenkaku Museum in the Shokoku-ji main temple area of the complex. The Jotenkaku Museum houses, among others, 5 National Treasures of Japan. The museum exhibits works by painters such as Tensho Shubun, Sesshu Toyo, Josetsu and Ito Jakuchu.
The temple complex also includes the Ginkaku-ji (Silver Pavilion).

Kiran Nadar Museum of Art (KNMA) a private museum sponsored by the Shiv Nadar Foundation opened in 2010.
KNMA presents works from India, the subcontinent and South Asia from the late 19th to the 21st century.
The collection includes over 8,000 works.
The New Delhi location occupies more than 1,670 square meters and the Noida location more than 1,200 square meters of exhibition space.

The Kunsthaus Zürich traces its origins back to 1787, opened in 1910.

La Plata Museum (Museo de La Plata) opened to the public in 1888.
The museum is divided into five sections: anthropological, botanical, geological, palaeontological and zoological, which at permanent exhibitions form a single whole depicting the evolution of nature, from the creation of the universe and our planet to the origin of man and its culture.
La Plata Museum has, among other things, a collection of large mammal fossils from the third and fourth period of the Cenozoic era, pre-Columbian ceramics, objects from the excavations in the Aksha complex (Egypt, near the 1st cataract, 13th century BC).
All collections amount to nearly 4 million objects.

La Venaria Reale (950,000 square meters of property) includes Reggia di Venaria Reale (Palace, 80,000 square meters), Gardens, Castello de La Mandria (Castle) and the Park of La Mandria.
The main stage of the construction of the baroque palace lasted from 1658 to 1675 during the reign of Carlo Emanuele II of Savoy.

The origins of the Lahore Museum date back to 1855.

Liaoning Provincial Museum (辽宁省博物馆) was established in 1949 as the Northeast Museum.

The Lippisches Landesmuseum, located in the heart of Detmold, houses extensive collections in the fields of art, culture, and natural history. Louisiana Museum of Modern Art opened in 1958.

Louvre-Lens opened in 2012.
It is a satellite of Louvre, it has no collections of its own. It presents objects from the Louvre collection on loan in the medium to long term. The objects on loan represent all the Louvre collections and are renewed regularly. Louvre-Lens organizes temporary exhibitions of national or international importance.
Louvre-Lens has three exhibition spaces: Grande Galerie, Glass Pavilion and the Temporary Exhibition Gallery.
The museum covers 28,000 square meters.

M+ opened in 2021 (https://www.museumworldranking.net/news/m-celebrates-its-opening-ahead-of-its-public-launch,114). M+ is part of the West Kowloon Cultural District.

Mevlana Museum is the mausoleum of Jalal ad-Din Muhammad Rumi, a Persian Sufi mystic also known as Mevlâna; original lodge of Mevlevi whirling dervishes. The museum was opened in 1927.

The Middelheim Museum (Middelheimmuseum) was opened in 1951 as the open-air sculpture museum. Munchmuseet (MUNCH) opened in 1963.
MUNCH is devoted to the life and work of the Norwegian artist Edvard Munch (1863–1944).
MUNCH has nearly 1,200 paintings in its collection, which is more than half of the artist's entire painting output. MUNCH is in possession of the entire graphic heritage, in the number of 18,322 graphics with 842 different motifs. The Collection is completed by 7,050 drawings and sketches and 14 sculptures. It is one of the world's largest single artist collections. In addition, the collection includes original Munch photographs, printing plates and lithographic stones, handwritten texts and letters, as well as personal items.

Museo de Arqueologia de Alta Montana (MAAM) opened in 2004.
MAAM presents an archaeological find discovered on the peaks of the Llullaillaco volcano (6,700 meters above sea level) that dates back over 500 years ago. These are the 3 bodies of the Inca children, the heroes of the Capocha ceremony during which they were sacrificed to act as intermediaries between the people and the gods.
The museum area is 1,507 square meters.

The Museo de la Ciencia CosmoCaixa, opened under its current name in 2004, is owned by the Fundación "la Caixa".
The main permanent exhibitions are "Sala Universo" with "Lab Math", "El Muro Geológico" with "Restos y Rastros", "Bosque Inundado", "Base Antártica". The museum also has a digital planetarium.

El Museo de la Ciencia y el Juego, MCJ, creado en 1984, ha venido realizando programas, proyectos y actividades en el campo de la popularización y divulgación de la ciencia y la tecnología, no solo en Colombia sino en la región, siendo pionero en su campo: fue el primer museo interactivo de ciencia en Colombia, el segundo en Suramérica y el tercero en Latinoamérica. Gracias al éxito de sus propuestas ha servido de base o ejemplo a otras iniciativas. En 1997 se hizo merecedor al Primer Premio Latinoamericano de Popularización de la Ciencia y la Tecnología otorgado por la UNESCO y la Red de popularización de la Ciencia y la Tecnología en América Latina y el Caribe, Red-POP por su programa Red de pequeños museos interactivos.
Lo que ha hecho el MCJ es tejer redes a lo largo de su existencia. Es miembro fundador de la Red Pop, de la que ejerció la Secretaría Ejecutiva en el bienio 2000 – 2001 y posteriormente la coordinación del Nodo Andes de la Red-POP. También fue gestor de Liliput, red de pequeños museos del Área Andina, de la cual ejerce actualmente la dirección ejecutiva y de la Escuela Latinoamericana de Museología de las Ciencias. - a collection of drawings from the 15th to the 19th century, the Spanish school looks best here (including Goya), but you can also find drawings by Michelangelo,
- graphics - a rich collection consists of Franco Goya's cycles.

The Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza opened in 1992.
The collection includes 800 years of Western art; about 1,600 paintings by, among others, Van Eyck, Dürer, Caravaggio, Rubens, Van Dyck, Rembrandt, Goya, Delacroix, Van Gogh, Pissarro, Munch, Chagall, Pollock, Rothko, Bacon.

The Castel Sant'Angelo Museum opened in 1906.
The building of the current museum was built in 139 as the mausoleum of Emperor Hadrian. In the Middle Ages rebuilt into a fortress. In 1367, the keys to the fortress were handed over to the then Pope Urban V. Further popes carried out further reconstruction using the monument as a shelter in times of danger, archives, court and prison.
Museo Nazionale di Castel Sant'Angelo can be divided into 3 parts: mausoleum, fortified castle, papal apartments.

The Miramare Castle and park were commissioned by Archduke Maximilian of Hapsburg who decided—around 1855—to build a residence worthy of his name and rank outside of Trieste, looking out to the sea and surrounded by a wide garden.
The Park of Miramare, with a surface of 22 hectares, is the result of Maximilian’s long and demanding project on the rocky promontory of Grignano, which originally resembled a Karst area almost devoid of vegetation.
The museum opened to the public in 1929.

The Museo Universitario Arte Contemporáneo (University Museum of Contemporary Art) abbreviated MUAC at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (National Autonomous University of Mexico) abbreviated UNAM was opened in 2008.

Museu de les Ciències Príncipe Felipe opened in 2000 and is part of the City of Arts and Sciences.

The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa founded in 1992.

Museum Siam, Discovery Museum under the National Discovery Museum Institute (NDMI), is the first discovery museum that focuses on making visitors gain new experience while visiting a museum. Museum Siam is built as a model for a pleasurable learning center and raises the standard of new learning methods for Thai citizens, especially children and youth. It is the place to develop conscience in knowing themselves, neighbors, and the world. The creation of a “brand-new notion and image” of a museum in a learning society, through modern technology and creative activities, is to make learning histories and stories more interesting and enjoyable. The new learning is composed of Main Exhibition, Special Exhibitions, and Creative Learning Activities

Museums Victoria (MV) founded in 1854.
The MV includes, among others: Melbourne Museum, Immigration Museum, Scienceworks, Royal Exhibition Building, Bunjilaka Aboriginal Cultural Center. The MV collection includes, among others, paleontology, zoology, artifacts of traditional indigenous cultures of Australia and the Pacific. The entire collection is over 17 million exhibits.

Muzium Negara (National Museum) opened in 1963.
The exhibitions focus on the history of Malaysia, Islamic art, traditional crafts, fauna and flora of the Malay Peninsula.
The museum covers over 4,170 square meters.
In 1974, a wooden palace called Istana Satu from 1884 was moved and restored to the museum grounds.

The Mysore Palace was the official residence of the Princely State of Mysore.
The palace was built in the years 1897-1912 in the Indian-Saracenic style.
Palace dimensions; length 74.7 meters, width 47.5 meters, height 44.2 meters.
The Residential Museum is located in the palace complex.
In the palace, you can see, among others: a jeweled golden throne and a golden howdah (elephant seat).

The predecessor of the Nanjing Museum was the preparatory department of the National Central Museum, which was founded in 1933.
Nanjing Museum covers an area of ​​85,000 square meters. The museum has over 400,000 exhibits in its permanent collection. The most important exhibit of the collection is full-size armor made of small jade tiles connected with silver wire.

The National Archaeological Museum was founded in 1829.
The entire collections are divided into:
- collection of prehistoric antiques (Neolithic, Cycladic and Mycenaean)
- collection of ancient Greek sculptures (7th century BC - 5th century AD)
- vase and minerals collection (11th century BC - Roman era)
- metallurgical works collection
- collection of Egyptian and Eastern Antiquities (5000 BC - Roman era)
The National Archaeological Museum has in its collection, among others, the golden Mask of Agamemnon and the bronze statue of Zeus or Poseidon.
The collection consists of over 11,000 exhibits.
The museum covers an area of 8,000 square meters.

The National Art Center, Tokyo (NACT) was opened in 2007.
NACT does not have its own collection, permanent exhibition. Curators of NACT organizes temporary exhibitions and sponsored presentations, sometimes with other organizations.
NACT's exhibition space is 14,000 square meters.
